The Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals (ULGA-YP) is comprised of young professionals across metro Atlanta who are dedicated to serving their local communities through social and community activism.
Note: All General Body Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month.
The mission of this organization, based on the strategic imperatives of the National Urban League, is to enable African Americans to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights through the achievement of four empowerment goals by 2025:
Jobs: Every American has access to jobs with a living wage and good benefits
Health: Every American has access to quality and affordable health care solutions.
Education: Every American child is ready for college, work and life
Housing: American lives in safe, decent, affordable and energy efficient housing on fair terms.
We accomplish this by supporting the Urban League of Greater Atlanta (ULGA) locally and engaging young professionals in ULGA’s movement towards the achievement of social and economic equality. ULGA-YP works to strengthen our members by encouraging them to achieve balance in their lives as they work to strengthen their communities.
